As a matter of introduction, my name is Dr. Leonard Fichter. I am a practicing cannabis physician with Kaya Life. I have been a part time resident in Walton county, Florida since 1999 and retired after 38 years from a private general surgery practice in 2018, settling permanently in Bay County in 2018. My interest in cannabis, as an alternative medical therapy, stemmed from my care for cancer patients and anorexic/bulimic patients in West Virginia. During my years of practice, I saw marked benefits with utilizing marinol or synthetic THC in cancer and bulimic/anorexic patients, since they were the only patients with indications for these products. In 2019 I started a cannabis practice in Panama City Beach, Florida. Since then I have witnessed the life changing benefits of cannabis in a wide array of various pathologic processes.
I joined Kaya Life in 2023 and my mission is to assist our patients in finding wellness and improved quality of life through the use of medical marijuana.
